About this Event
Do you want to be in a room full of the right people?
Being a creative can be lonely. THIIIRD AUTUMN Social is for people who want meaningful connections in an industry that often feels like a solo pursuit.
A space for candid conversation, real connection and potential collaboration, held at the Feminist Library in Peckham's Sojourner Truth building.
Our socials are hosted by leading creative voices, who share their work and stories in an intimate Q&A. Stay tuned for an announcement of who our next host will be.
Featuring: *Kim Lang*
Kim Lang is a prominent voice in contemporary photography, celebrated for his bold, theatrical portraiture and deeply narrative approach to individuality, identity, and cultural heritage.
Born in Luxembourg to a Cape Verdean father and a Luxembourgish mother, Lang’s early worldview was shaped by travel, accompanying his mother and his grandfather, a documentary filmmaker, across Namibia, South Africa, and the United States. These formative experiences ignited a lifelong passion for culture, history, and visual journalism.
Lang’s work has gained widespread international recognition, with a prolific exhibition history spanning major art capitals including London, Paris, Venice, Madrid, Arles, Valencia, and Cali, Colombia. His series Nations of the Atlantic, which earned Lang a Gold win at the 1839 Awards, alongside his deeply personal series Odyssey of Reconnection, have been the subject of multiple global solo exhibitions.
As a serial contributor to THIIIRD, it is a pleasure that we make space in this event to showcase his career to date.
