About this Event

INFLORESCENCE - The Art of Becoming

When the lights go down, expect something different.
Step inside the atmospheric Asylum Chapel in Peckham for an extraordinary evening.

For one night only, INFLORESCENCE - The Art of Becoming unfolds as an immersive alt-variety evening of ART, live performance, sound and unexpected encounters in a place filled with history, mystery and magic. Come curious.
Wander. Listen. Watch. Have a drink.
Let yourself be surprised - and carried somewhere unexpected.

What to expect

A playful and unpredictable sequence of art, music, performance, inviting you to experience the exhibition rather than simply look at it. As the evening unfolds, the chapel becomes a space for encounters between the visible and invisible, the earthly and the otherworldly, the intimate and the expansive.

This is not just an exhibition. It is an invitation to play, feel, connect and see things differently.

About the Exhibition

INFLORESCENCE - The Art of Becoming - explores what lies beneath from shadow to light, from raw to matter, from the fractured and silenced towards expansion and freedom.

The exhibition brings together works created through layered organic textures and natural pigments made from plants, minerals, soil, crystals, volcano ash, and meteorites, alongside photography and small-scale installations reflecting on the journey of the soul. An exploration of transformation, becoming and the process that connect us to the natural world.

Opening Night

Friday 6 November 2026
Doors open: 5.30pm
Performance: 7pm
Evening ends: 8.30pm

Asylum Chapel, Peckham, London, SE15 2SQ

Limited time only - come and experience it while you can.

Meet the Artists

Florence Dassonville is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist working with raw materials, natural pigments and intuitive processes. Born into a lineage of artists, creativity has always been central to her life. Based in London, her experience across auction houses, museums and the Royal Academy of Arts continues to shape her visual language. Her deeply embodied practice explores the unseen through self-made pigments and intuitive states, translating fragments of the unconscious into raw, energetic forms.

“People often say, ‘oh I could do that, just scribbles’ and honestly, if it makes you feel something, please do it. My work isn’t about technique, it’s about transmission. It’s about what moves through you, what resonates, what shifts.”

Hilanderas Arts Collective - Stephanie Prieto Trincado & Valentina Infante are two extraordinary performers and Artivists for human rights whose practice explores the body as a space for connection, expression and transformation.
Their work brings an element of the unexpected to the evening, creating a visceral dialogue between movement, sound, space and audience.

Emma Rasmussen of Prism of Sound is a sound artist and DJ working with electronic and experimental music, spoken word, live instruments, and her own voice. She brings these elements together to create atmospheric soundscapes and sets that are made to be felt as much as heard.
For the evening, Emma will create a soft, atmospheric DJ set throughout the night, alongside a live soundscape accompanying the performance - weaving sound into the space and allowing the experience to unfold through listening, movement, and vibration.
