🌡️ Thermography Screening Event — October 29 & 30Picture My Health is coming to Herbs 4 You for two days of Thermography Screenings!
Join us October 29 & 30 for Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI), a comfortable, non-invasive imaging service that captures thermal patterns from the body.
Thermography uses specialized infrared technology to measure temperature patterns at the body's surface. Unlike imaging that looks primarily at structure, thermography provides information about physiological and thermal patterns that can be monitored over time.
What Is Thermography?
Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging, or DITI, is a non-invasive procedure that typically takes 30–60 minutes.
The screening:
✨ Does not use radiation
✨ Does not require needles or injections
✨ Does not require physical contact with the body
✨ Does not require compression for breast thermography
✨ Can be performed on different areas of the body
✨ Can provide thermal information that may be useful for monitoring changes over time
Thermography may be used as a complementary tool when evaluating areas of concern, including areas associated with pain or injury.
🌸 Breast Thermography
Breast thermography provides a non-invasive, radiation-free, contact-free way to capture thermal patterns of the breasts.
Unlike mammography, breast thermography does not require breast compression or X-ray exposure.
One of the benefits of thermography is the ability to compare images over time. For breast thermography, a follow-up study may be recommended approximately three months after the initial scan to help establish an individual baseline. Future images can then be compared with that baseline to monitor changes.
Thermography and mammography provide different types of information and are complementary. Thermography does not replace mammography or other breast screening recommended by your healthcare provider.
👩⚕️ Who Performs & Reads the Images?
Your thermal images will be captured by a Certified Clinical Thermographer trained in clinical thermal imaging protocols.
After your screening, the images are securely submitted for interpretation by qualified physicians who are specifically trained in digital thermal image interpretation.
A written report is provided following the interpretation.
🩺 What Can Thermography Be Used For?
Thermography may provide complementary information related to thermal and physiological patterns throughout the body.
It may be useful for:
Monitoring changes over time
Evaluating areas associated with pain or injury
Providing additional information to discuss with your healthcare provider
Establishing a personal thermal baseline
Comparing current thermal patterns with previous studies
Thermography is not a diagnostic test and an unusual or abnormal thermal pattern should be discussed with your healthcare provider to determine whether additional evaluation is appropriate.
⏱️ What to Expect
Your appointment generally takes 30–60 minutes. The process is non-invasive and comfortable, with no radiation or physical contact.
Following your appointment, your images are securely sent for medical interpretation. Reports are normally available within 7–10 business days.
