What if yoga could change how you live, not just how you move? An intimate five-part exploration of practical yoga philosophy.
About this Event

What if yoga could change how you live, not just how you move?

Body Wisdom is an intimate five-part journey into practical yoga philosophy - creating space to question, reflect, explore, and discover how ancient wisdom can meet modern life.

Yoga has always been much more than the physical practice. Across this series, we'll explore some of its deeper teachings through meditation, breathwork, contemplation, journaling, self-inquiry, and meaningful conversation.

Rather than simply learning about yoga philosophy, we'll ask: What does this actually mean for the way I think, choose, relate, and live?

Each gathering will take a different teaching or question as our starting point. Through a Socratic-style approach, we'll explore ideas together without needing to arrive at a single "right" answer. You'll be invited to examine your own assumptions, listen deeply, and discover what resonates through your own experience.

What to Expect

Each 90-min gathering will include:

• A grounding meditation and breathwork practice
• An introduction to a yogic teaching or philosophical question
• Guided contemplation and self-inquiry
• Journaling and reflective exercises
• Socratic-style group dialogue
• A closing meditation and integration practice

No prior knowledge of yoga philosophy is required. You don't need to be a yoga teacher, a philosophy student, or even have a regular yoga practice. Just bring your curiosity.

The Five-Part Journey

October - The Wisdom Within
Svādhyāya · Self-Study

What happens when we become students of ourselves? We'll explore the practice of observing our thoughts, patterns, habits, and reactions with curiosity rather than judgment.

November - Tapas: The Fire Within
Discipline · Effort · Transformation

What is the difference between forcing ourselves to change and cultivating the inner fire to grow? We'll explore effort, discipline, motivation, and meaningful action.

December - The Practice of Joy
Līlā · Santosha · The Power of Beauty

Can joy be a practice? Can we experience beauty and contentment without waiting for life to be perfect? A seasonal exploration of play, presence, gratitude, and lightness.

January - The Witness Within
Vedanta · Self-Inquiry · Awareness

Who are we beneath our thoughts, emotions, roles, and changing circumstances? Drawing from Vedantic self-inquiry, we'll explore the distinction between what we experience and that which is aware of experience.

February - Living Your Yoga
Truth · Connection · Integration

What does it actually mean to live our values? We'll explore how self-knowledge becomes action, how we relate to others, and how the wisdom of yoga can shape ordinary choices and everyday life.

Come Curious

You don't have to agree with every teaching. You don't have to have the answers. And you certainly don't have to arrive with a perfectly formed spiritual practice.

Please feel free to come unprepared and open-minded.

The goal isn't to leave with more information.

It's to leave seeing something - perhaps yourself, your life, or the world around you - a little differently.
