On Thursday, October 8 at 7:30pm, the UNO University Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present a concert celebrating America's 250th anniversary, featuring music that honors our nation's history, resilience, and spirit.We are excited to welcome graduate conducting students Nestor Pelayo and Mark Burch to the podium, leading works that showcase American musical heritage across the centuries. A highlight of the evening is a Consortium Premiere of "Time Flies" (2026) by David Biedenbender, performed by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
The concert will take place in the Concert Hall at the Strauss Performing Arts Center on Thursday, October 8 at 7:30pm.
Admission fee: Pay as you can.
