December Session #2
This Treecreepers session will be at the Botanic Gardens to enjoy the cold weather visitors and our year-round favourites. The Botanics is a great venue as the birds who frequent here are confident around people and we can often get great views. I also helps in the cold weather to have places to seek refuge and hot drinks!
Every experience level welcome! The session structure and flow will be shaped by everyone to facillitate knowledge sharing and community. This group is for people aged 18-35 only. No dogs except guide & assistance dogs.
We will meet at the East Gate at 12pm. What3Words location:
Wear appropriate clothes and footwear for the weather forecast. If you have binoculars, ID books or anything else you think you may want, please do bring along. There is are toilets and refreshments at points throughout the gardens.

Pricing:
I am just one person running and organising this group so, in order for this to be sustainable long term for me, I charge a small fee per session. This covers my time with any excess income reinvested in the group. Pricing is as follows:
- Supporter Rate: £8. For those who have more than enough to comfortably meet their needs and non-essentials. This will help make the sessions accessible to others and supports my work.
- Standard Rate: £5. For those who can cover their needs with some extra for non-essentials.
- Accessible Rate: £3. For those who struggle to afford anything beyond basic necessities(e.g. on benefits or unemployed).
No questions asked, choose what works for you. Your presence matters most!
If the rate you wish to pay is not available, but there are still tickets left, reach out and I can change the availability for you.
Want to pay in Cash?
Eventbrite adds a service fee to all tickets. To avoid this extra cost I am happy to take cash in person at the beginning of the session. Please email [email protected] to register for a space in advance.
**If you are emailing to book, your initial email must contain your first and last name and the rate you want to pay to ensure your place.**
Refund Policy
Eventbrite: If you pay via Eventbrite and cancel before the refund period of 2 days (48 hours) you will receive an automatic refund. If you cancel after the refund period you will only receive a refund if I am able to resell the ticket to someone else. No refund includes fees paid to Eventbrite.
Cash: If you agree to pay via cash and cancel before the refund period of 2 days (48 hours) you will not be required to pay. If you cancel after the refund period and I am able to resell your ticket to someone else, you will not be required to pay. If I am not able to resell your ticket then I will email you an invoice to pay which may require you to pay fees. An invoice is a legally binding document.
Code of Conduct & Accessibility:
All attendees are required to adhere to our code of conduct.
The majority of the walk will take place on paved paths, there may be the occasional section of grass. There are a few steep hills. The gardens can be very busy on the weekends. I will endeavour to make our route, pace and distance accessible to all attendees where possible.
Buses 8, 9, 23 & 27 all stop right outside the entrance. Other buses that stop in the nearby area include 14, 21, 24, 29 and 36. There are bicycle racks outside the entrance on the main road.
