MLX is rapidly approaching, so to get in condition, Jazz Picnic are running The Sevens (fast jams club) in a day AND an Aerials Workshop. We have a limited number of places so read this info and sign up!The Sevens - Fast Jams Club
Day/Time: Sunday 18th October, 9.30am-4pm (with 1.5hr lunch break)
Location: Dance House Brunswick (East Studio), 4/215 Albion St, Brunswick
Level/focus/content: this is a single day workshop focussing on JAMS! It’s all about being able to survive at fast tempos in jam circles. We’ll build up tempo throughout the day but we pretty much always dance at least 200bpm, so FAST. The workshop day will include fast dancing drills, explicit teaching and jam practice with different partners. Our hope is that you’d feel able to go in a real jam with any other dancer in the group. Our first priority is to increase your max tempo so aerials are not taught in this workshop.

Who for: current Lindy Hoppers, must be willing to dance high intensity above 200bpm
Cost: $50 for whole day, sign up in lead/follow pair, dancers will rotate in class
Aerials Workshop
Day/Time: Sunday 25th October, 1-5pm
Location: Dance House Brunswick (East Studio), 4/215 Albion St, Brunswick
Level/focus/content: this is a half day workshop focussing on AERIALS! It’s all about getting some great and safe airtime in jam circles. You will sign up in a group of four (two leads and two follows), and you will only dance/spot these partners.
Instructors: Federica Ras and Nick Ellis Friedl

Cost: $50 for half day, sign up in group of four (two leads and two follows)
