Stretching from the Afar Triangle in Ethiopia to Mozambique, the Great Rift Valley is one of the largest geological features on Earth. Join renowned photographer Shem Compion for a discussion of The Rift: Scar of Africa, the culmination of 23 years documenting Africa’s Great Rift Valley. A collaboration among scientists, poets, researchers, and community members, the book combines photography with diverse perspectives on the region’s ecology, cultures, and place in human origins.
