How do you create meaningful photography under the pressure of immediacy?
Photography has never moved faster. - Event in ENG
About this Event

If you have already participated in this talk, you can skip this session.
Today, photographers are often expected to capture, edit and publish images while an event is still unfolding. Festivals, cultural institutions, brands and artists increasingly need photographs within minutes, not days.

But when everything is immediate, how do you work quickly without losing your eye?

In this practical talk, Berlin-based photographer Flavius Neamciuc explores how to balance speed, technical efficiency and creative intention in contemporary photography.

Drawing on nearly two decades of professional experience across documentary, editorial, portrait and commercial photography, as well as recent work covering festivals, live events and cultural projects. Flavius will take participants through his real-world workflow, from capturing a moment to selecting, editing and delivering an image within minutes.

This talk goes beyond cameras and software. It looks at the decisions that make a photograph work when there is no time to overthink: how to anticipate moments, observe carefully, work efficiently, edit with intention and tell a story while it is still happening.
What you'll explore

  • How to work efficiently in fast-moving environments
  • How to anticipate and recognise meaningful moments
  • How to build a workflow from capture to publication
  • How to make faster editing and image-selection decisions

Who is it for?

This talk is aimed at photographers who want to develop a faster, more efficient workflow without compromising their creative vision.

It is particularly relevant to photographers working in events, documentary, editorial, culture, music, portraits and commercial photography, as well as photographers who are adapting their practice to the demands of today's digital environment.

Whether you're an emerging photographer or already working professionally, this talk offers practical approaches that you can apply directly to your own practice.

About Flavius Neamciuc

Flavius Neamciuc is a Romanian photographer based in Berlin with nearly two decades of professional experience across documentary, editorial, portrait and commercial photography.

He is also the founder of The Livingroom, an independent project exploring the intersection of photography, music, design and human connection. Conceived as an immersive cultural space, The Livingroom has brought together artists, designers, musicians, brands and local communities.

Flavius's work is driven by a simple belief: photography is ultimately about people. Whether documenting festivals and cultural events or creating intimate portraits, his focus is on images that feel authentic, timeless and emotionally honest.

Technology has made photography faster than ever.

But speed doesn't necessarily make a better photograph.

How can we embrace the immediacy of today's visual culture while keeping the observation, intention and human connection that give photography its lasting value?

Join Flavius Neamciuc and the Leica Store Berlin for an evening of practical insight, real-world experience and a closer look at what it means to photograph at the speed of now.
