About this Event

The Light of the Sun and the Moon: A Commentary on Yuthok’s Mahamudra

Book Release with Dr. Nida Chenagtsang

In-person & online event!

Mahamudra is one of the most profound meditation traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, revealing the mind's innate clarity, intrinsic freedom, and awakened nature.

In The Light of the Sun and Moon, Dr. Nida Chenagtsang presents the Mahamudra teachings of the Yuthok Nyingthig—the Path of Complete Liberation. Beginning with the original root text and followed by Dr. Nida’s clear and practical commentary, this volume guides practitioners through the progressive stages of meditation: finding ease in posture and breath, resting the mind in its natural state, letting go of grasping, and recognizing the radiance of the mind. It culminates in the Four Yogas of Mahamudra, the path to recognizing the mind's true nature.

Drawing on classical sources while remaining grounded in lived practice, Dr. Nida illuminates a lineage that has been transmitted for centuries while remaining deeply relevant today. Written for dedicated Varjayana practitioners and serious students of meditation, The Light of the Sun and Moon offers an authentic guide to one of Tibet's most profound yogic traditions.

Dr. Nida Chenagtsang will introduce the meditation techniques shared in his new book. Book signing to follow.
