About this Event
We've been sold the idea that Friday the 13th and the number 13 itself is to be feared and has become commercialized and programmed spookiness.
If you have attended these circles in the past, this year we will go beyond the stripping down of programmed fear and move even deeper into the holy number 13, and the myths and archetypes that can serve as reminders of our own paths of descension and ascension. Through our time together we will explore Sophia's fall and her 13 turnings toward the light, the underworld with Persephone, and Path 13 of the Qabalah, the path of the High Priestess. These explorations will be woven with conversation, chanting, song, embodied movement, an Earthly Mother ritual, and meditation.
Fear, like a descent, will come, as it always does, whether from within or from outer programming. The choice is how we meet it and move through it, without needing to dominate another. We get to choose what we allow into our field. And there will be times it doesn't feel like we have a choice at all. The practice is remembering that we do, even when it's small, and then making it with our divine awareness. Sometimes that means choosing to consciously fall apart while staying devoted and connected to our inner knowing and light, so that even in the depths of despair, it remains.
This circle will be guided by Alexandra Chamizo of Unveil with Lex and Alisa Shanahan of Eldertree Offerings, healing arts teachers and devotees of the Holy Earthly Mother and the Magdalene lineage.
More details will be added over the next coming weeks of any suggestions of what to bring. If you have any questions in the meantime or finances are a barrier to attending, please reach out directly <3
