About this Event
Join Toronto's own Darryl Hannah & touring prairie alt-country outfit, The Goddamsels, for a double bill on Sunday October 18.
Doors 7:00pm
Darryl Hannah's music is a fusion of contrasting elements, creating a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly new. Their use of pedal steel guitar pays homage to the classic country sound, while their incorporation of drum machines and synthesizers adds a modern, psychedelic twist. The result is a captivating mix of twangy melodies, dreamy soundscapes, and infectious beats that invite listeners to lose themselves in the music.
Formed out of the longstanding friendship between singer/songwriters Mallory Chipman and Freddi MacDougall, The Goddamsels write songs with strong, empowering messages, blended with elements of folk, pop and traditional country, all tied together by their stunning, instinctive harmonies. Their signature sound, which has drawn comparison to acts like The Chicks and Fleetwood Mac, can be heard on their debut album, Wayward Daughter (2022), and subsequent singles. They were nominated for Country Music Alberta's Roots Artist of the Year (2023) and Horizon Duo of the Year (2025). They have played 80 shows across across Canada and recently made their international touring debut in Ireland, Scotland, and England, and most recently in South Korea. The Goddamsels are anticipating the release of their sophomore album in 2027!
