Homecoming is more than coming back—it’s about reconnecting, remembering, and passing the legacy forward.
Join the Howard University Multidisciplinary Gerontology Center (HU MGC) for The Bison Legacy Lounge, a special intergenerational Homecoming gathering bringing together Howard alumni, current students, families, friends, and the greater Bison community for an afternoon of great conversation, good food, music, laughter, and connection.
Hosted by radio personality Asia Chandler, known for Culture & Real Talk, this lively Chat & Chew will create space for the conversations we don’t always get to have during the excitement of Homecoming.
🐂 Old Bison, New Bison—and everybody in between—this is your room.
We’ll reminisce about Howard then and now, talk about life after Howard, career and reinvention, health and wellness, family and relationships, community and advocacy, and what each generation has learned along the way.
And yes—we’re going to have some fun doing it!
Your admission includes Brunch Bites, music and vibes, the interactive Chat & Chew conversation, intergenerational networking, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with Bison across generations.
Come dressed in your Bison Game-Day Fly and REP YOUR ERA! Pull out the Howard gear, Greek gear, sports gear, vintage HBCU looks, A Different World vibes—or whatever represents your Bison pride.

Guests may come and go during the event, making The Bison Legacy Lounge a comfortable Homecoming stop between other activities.

Optional on-site fundraising activities will include the Bison Legacy Photo Experience, Sounds of My People merchandise, a Homecoming raffle, and “Pass the Legacy Forward” $5 contribution cards supporting intergenerational programming.
