Join the Defend DC: Charlottesville Canvass!
Come out in person and help us make a real difference in Charlottesville. This is your chance to get involved, meet awesome people, and support a cause that matters. Whether you're a seasoned canvasser or just curious, everyone’s welcome to jump in and help spread the word. Let’s team up and create some positive vibes together!
What to expect:
We'll meet at 8am to board buuses. Hot coffee and breakfast snacks will be served and we'll have more goodies for you waiting on the bus. Once we arrive in Charlottesville, we'll get everyone fueld up before heading out to knock doors. In the early-afternoon you'll take a lunch break before hitting the streets one more time. By 5pm buses will be rolling back to DC.
We provide the bus, coffee, snacks, lunch, literature for distribution and training. You bring the people power!
Attire:
- Wear a blue shirt!
- Comfortable shoes
- Pack a poncho or umbrella
What to bring:
- Phone charger and a portable battery
- Comfortable shoes
- Sunscreen
- A tote bag to carry literature
- Reusable water bottle or travel mug
How to prepare:
- Download the MiniVan app from your smartphone app store
- Watch this short training video (don't worry, we'll go over everything again in person!):
What happens next?
Two days before your canvass you'll get a call/text from a member of our team to confirm your participation and a "Know Before You Go" email with a form for you to fill out (emergency contact and food preferences) and confirming final details.
