The Art of SongBarocco Foundation, in collaboration with Din l-Art Ħelwa, is delighted to present a special lunchtime recital, The Art of Song, on Tuesday 03 November 2026 at 12:30pm at the historic Our Lady of Victory Church in Valletta.
The recital will feature the promising young soprano Christine Borg, accompanied by the talented pianist Bruno Arruda, in a delightful programme celebrating some of the finest works from the operatic and musical repertoire.
The programme will open with two much-loved arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Deh vieni and Porgi Amor from Le Nozze di Figaro, followed by Donizetti’s Prendi from L’Elisir d’Amore. The programme will continue with two celebrated arias from Puccini’s La Bohème, Donde lieta and Quando m’en vo, before moving to Rossini’s Selva opaca from Guglielmo Tell. The recital will also feature Bernstein’s sparkling Glitter and Be Gay from Candide and will conclude with Cole Porter’s lively Anything Goes.
This engaging selection promises a wonderful musical experience, bringing together opera favourites and beloved songs in the beautiful setting of Our Lady of Victory Church.
The Art of Song: will be held at Our Lady of Victory church, Valletta on Tuesday 03 November 2026 at 12:30pm. Entrance to the concert is at a suggested donation of €13.
