About this Event
AI is already entering construction businesses. Employees are experimenting with new tools, existing software providers are adding AI capabilities to their platforms, and new technologies are beginning to change how work can be designed, priced, procured and delivered.
At the same time, the amount of hype surrounding AI can make it difficult for leadership teams to distinguish meaningful change from noise and determine where their attention should be focused.
The AI Leadership Series for Construction has been developed specifically for senior construction leaders from a non-technical background who want to understand what AI means for their business and make informed decisions about how to respond.
Following Suzanne Hill's keynote address at the Construction Employers Federation Annual Conference, the four-part series provides a structured journey through the key leadership questions surrounding AI.
Session One | Understand | 29th October
Establish a clear business understanding of AI and what it means for your organisation. AI is surrounded by jargon, ambitious claims and conflicting predictions. Many businesses are already experimenting with tools, but senior leaders need a broader understanding of the technology and its business implications if they are to make informed decisions about what comes next.
This opening masterclass establishes that foundation. We will explore the capabilities and limitations of today's AI, how organisations are beginning to use it, where business value can be created and the factors that will determine whether AI strengthens an organisation's competitive position.
The session will also examine the choices businesses face as they move beyond individual experimentation towards more deliberate organisational adoption.
You will leave with a clearer understanding of AI from a business perspective and the knowledge required to have more informed conversations with your leadership team, employees and technology providers.

Session Two | Position | 5th November
Strategic Positioning in an AI-Changing Construction Market. Explore how AI could change the market around your business and what that could mean for your future competitive position.
Some of the most significant consequences of AI may emerge through changes taking place outside your organisation. Clients, competitors, technology providers, equipment manufacturers and other participants across the construction ecosystem are developing new capabilities.
Combined with advances in automation, robotics and data, these developments could begin to change customer expectations, traditional industry roles, methods of delivery and where value sits across the construction supply chain.
This masterclass will examine emerging market signals and explore what they could mean if they develop at scale. Participants will consider potential implications for areas including procurement, estimating, client relationships, competitive advantage and the boundaries between different participants in the industry.
The focus throughout will be on strategic positioning: understanding what is changing early enough to consider how your business should respond.
You will leave with a structured way of thinking about emerging market change and its potential implications for the future position of your organisation.

Session Three | Protect | 12th November
AI Governance, Risk & Trust. Create the foundations for confident and responsible AI adoption. AI adoption can move quickly inside an organisation. Employees experiment with publicly available tools, software suppliers introduce new AI functionality and departments begin exploring applications that promise immediate benefits.
As adoption grows, leadership teams need clear boundaries around how AI is used and how organisational information, intellectual property, client relationships and professional responsibilities are protected.
This practical masterclass will examine the key governance issues construction businesses need to address, including employee use, data and confidentiality, human oversight, technology suppliers and responsible experimentation.
Participants will consider how to establish proportionate governance that protects the organisation while allowing people to explore useful applications of AI with greater confidence.
You will leave with a clearer understanding of your organisation's AI governance priorities and the practical steps required to strengthen them.

Session Four | Transform | 19th November
Leading Organisational Transformation in the AI Era. Understand how the different elements of AI-related organisational change fit together.
As AI adoption develops, its implications extend across the organisation. Decisions about strategy connect with leadership, governance, workflows, people, skills, technology and investment. Changes in one area frequently create consequenceselsewhere.
The final masterclass brings the series together through the Six Dimensions of Constructive Intelligence™, Suzanne Hill's framework for helping leadership teams approach organisational transformation as an interconnected business challenge.
The session will explore Strategic Awareness & Value Creation; Leadership & Decision-Making; Governance, Risk & Trust; Organisational Design & Workflow; Workforce & Skills; and Pace & Sequencing
Participants will consider what these dimensions mean for their own organisation, where capability gaps may exist and how leadership teams can establish priorities while retaining the flexibility to respond as both the technology and the market continue to evolve.
You will leave with a holistic framework for thinking about organisational transformation and a clearer view of where leadership attention should be focused next.
