A participatory zine workshop with artist Reuben Brown. From the Same Night DIY Ephemera Toolkit is a portable archive, DIY ephemera-making toolkit, and participatory zine workshop developed by Reuben Brown as part of club [construction], an ongoing research project exploring queer club culture, memory, and archival practices.
Each toolkit is housed within a stamped record sleeve and contains reproduced club-culture artefacts, including flyers, floor plans, archival photographs, press clippings, and found graphics. While participants receive a similar selection of materials, each toolkit is transformed through cutting, collaging, annotating, and reassembling, producing distinct and personal interpretations of the archive.
