These events form part of the stakeholder engagement process for the development of the Textiles Roadmap to Circularity, led by Zero Waste Scotland in support of Scotland's Circular Economy Strategy.
Scotland is transitioning towards a more circular economy, where products and materials are kept in use for longer, waste is reduced, and greater value is retained within the economy. The textiles sector has been identified as one of the priority sectors within Scotland's Circular Economy Strategy, with a dedicated roadmap being developed to accelerate change and unlock opportunities for greater circularity across the sector.
Zero Waste Scotland is inviting stakeholders from across the textiles value chain to join one of the workshops to share their views on the draft interventions being developed through the Textiles Roadmap to Circularity.
Following the same collaborative and systems-based approach used to develop the Built Environment Roadmap to Circularity and Energy Infrastructure Roadmap to Circularity, these sessions will bring together representatives from industry, government, academia, third sector organisations and other key stakeholders to help shape the roadmap's final recommendations.
What to expect?
- During this interactive session, participants will:
- Explore the vision and objectives of the draft Textiles Roadmap.
- Review and provide feedback on proposed interventions.
- Discuss opportunities, challenges and implementation considerations.
