Scott O'Day on Live Guitar: Oct 10th, teaches musicality Labs w/ Feeling Flow teachers
Oakland-based guitarist and arranger Scott O’Day directs the acclaimed Scott O’Day Tango Sextet and the San Francisco Community Music Center Tango Ensemble, an incubator for the Bay Area tango music scene. He has performed across North America, South America, and Europe, studied with tango legends in Buenos Aires, and completed his formal training at La Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda.
His trio brings together guitar, piano, and double bass in original arrangements that blend jazz colors with rock’s rhythmic intensity. Buenos Aires vocalist Verónica Freidkes frequently joins the ensemble.
