We know it can be tough to stay eco-friendly during the holidays! With so much pressure to buy something new and shiny, it’s easy to feel like sustainability has to take a back seat. Not to worry—at BHNP Craft Club, we’re here to help you keep your celebrations festive and green.
Learning new skills on your own can feel intimidating, so bring along the gifts you need to wrap and enjoy a creative, supportive space to practice. By the end, you’ll feel more confident in your ability to stay true to your sustainable values while still making your presents shine!

Want to craft but don’t know where to start? Miss that summer camp vibe from years ago? Come join Blue Heron Nature Preserve's adults-only craft club, where we celebrate creativity and encourage sustainable practices. You’ll get the feeling of summer camp again (without the endless hours in the sun!)
Led by our own educators, Mac and Dusk, each meetup offers approachable projects, encouragement, and plenty of space to experiment.

At Blue Heron, we believe creativity can care for the planet too. Our projects highlight:
- Using natural, recycled, or repurposed materials
- Upcycling old items into new creations
- Practicing simple mending and maintenance skills to extend the life of everyday items
- Working with eco-friendly supplies
- Reducing waste while sparking innovation
Each craft is a reminder that small choices can add up to a big difference for the Earth.
Pay-What-You-Can: All meetings are donation-based, with contributions helping cover the cost of supplies and keeping Craft Camp accessible to everyone.
Bring a Friend: RSVPs are requested to help us & you with planning, but walk-ins (and tagalongs!) are welcome too.
