Within a world in which religious extremism captures headlines, we Unitarian Universalists persist in teaching that there are many paths to whatever it is that may be ultimate, that no one religion has a corner on “The Truth.” At the same time there may be threads of wisdom that connect us all. This Week in Youth Faith Formation
Our UU faith isn’t just something we practice on Sunday mornings - it’s something we can live every day, especially at home. This month, our children will explore what it means to have the courage to bring our values, questions, and curiosity into everyday family life.
This week, kids and youth will be creating a Family Question Jar to take home. The jar will hold thoughtful, open-ended questions designed to spark meaningful conversations and help family members learn more about one another. New questions will be available to pick up each month at church!
Pull out the jar around the dinner table, during a quiet moment at home, or even on a family car ride. Choose a question, take turns answering, and listen with curiosity. There are no right or wrong answers, just opportunities to connect, wonder, laugh, and discover something new about the people we love.
Faith is something we don’t just learn about. It’s something we live - and sometimes living our faith begins with simply asking a question and really listening to the answer.
