Sunday Screening – Sexy in Sepia is an in-person event for the local community exploring Black burlesque, sexuality, and socialization in media and performance.
Screening and panel discussion
Join us at Atlanta Creative Arts from 1pm–4pm. The event begins with a screening of Sexy in Sepia, an original oral history documentary, followed by a panel discussion facilitated by Maya Henry, a recent graduate of Georgia State University’s Master of Heritage Preservation program.
The panel features local Black burlesque performers and legends Trina Parks, Madam Mercury, Lola Le Soleil, Chika Cheeks, and Zara Estelle. Light refreshments will be served.
