Meet Our Speaker: John Sullivan
Redefining Success | LeaderImpact Houston
John Sullivan is a Houston trial attorney with 39 years of experience, having served as a partner at prominent law firms including Fulbright & Jaworski, Watt Beckworth, and K&L Gates. Today, he runs his own practice.
Twenty-three years ago, a life-changing experience led John to rethink what success meant and how he wanted to use his career. Motivated by his growing faith, he began providing free legal representation to immigrant children facing difficult circumstances.
One of those cases involved Young Zheng, a young boy smuggled into the United States from China. The case gained national attention, and John's legal team ultimately prevailed. But the story didn't end in the courtroom. John and his wife, Kriste, later adopted Young, who now has a family of his own.
John continues to represent immigrants pro bono and co-founded the Biblical Manhood Foundation, which encourages men to think more intentionally about their careers, families, and personal values.
John and Kriste, also an attorney, have five children and seven grandchildren.
Join us as John shares how a successful legal career became the starting point for a much bigger story—and how his understanding of success changed along the way.
