Inspired by the Amazonian cosmovision of the Shipibo-Conibo needlework: Study and stitch your own embroidery sampler using geometric designs
About this Event

Join Master Peruvian-British Embroiderer artist Bella Lane and be inspired by the Amazonian cosmovision of the Shipibo-Conibo needlework: Study and stitch your own embroidery sampler using geometric designs and textiles and many other technical approaches. This is a unique opportunity in London to travel deep into the jungle by needle, thread and cloth, exploring the richest tapestries, symbolic and ritual meanings of this lively community. This workshop is a practical hand embroidery project for stitch lovers and for those who are seeking a new way to experiment and learn embroideries from different cultures.
