Concerned that the programme/course you signed up for will be closed? Worried that your job will be cut? Angry that your university/workplace still has investments tied to the genocide in Palestine?
The University of Edinburgh has long ignored both staff and student voices. The Student-Staff Assembly is promoting staff-student solidarity and joint-organising to counter this. We share the same fight against the university’s attitude of profit over people. Divided, we will be ignored. Together, as both the labour-force and main source of income for the university, we can push for positive change. This is our university, not senior management’s, and we can shape it to be the ethical and democratic institution we want.
Ahead of further planned industrial action in 2026 Semester 1, we are holding our first of many Student-Staff Assemblies.
