Join us for an evening of fast-paced talks showcasing how data and AI are being used to tackle real challenges across the financial sector.
Fraud detection, risk modelling, customer experience and automation are all examples where data and AI can add value in financial services, but what does that look like in practice?
Each of our speakers will have just five slides and up to ten minutes to tell us how they are innovating in finance. Speakers will take you through the problem they are trying to solve, the solution they have developed, and the technical architecture or process behind it. We’ll also hear about lessons learned along the way, and what’s coming over the horizon!
The result is an evening packed with practical case studies, technical insight, and ideas you can take back to your own organisation. With a variety of speakers and projects from across the sector, you'll gain a broad perspective on how data and AI are driving innovation across financial services.

Soner Candan - Lead Data & AI Scientist, Lloyds Banking Group
Soner Candan is a senior AI and data leader at Lloyds Banking Group, where he leads teams delivering machine learning, advanced analytics and automation solutions across insurance, pensions, and investments. Originally from Turkey, Soner has lived and worked in Greece, Germany, and the UK, bringing an international perspective shaped by engineering, data science, and technology leadership. With academic backgrounds in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, and extensive experience applying AI in financial services, he specialises in turning complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value
Lauren Moffat - Senior Consultant, Talan
Lauren Moffat is a Senior Data Consultant with experience delivering large-scale data, privacy, and transformation programmes with financial services. Passionate about leadership, building strong relationships and creating opportunities for people to connect.
David Jerrim - Field CTO, Teradata
David Jerrim is Field CTO at Teradata, where he works with organisations across Europe to help turn data and AI ambitions into measurable business outcomes. With more than 25 years of experience in enterprise data, analytics, and architecture, David has led Teradata’s thinking around data mesh, data products and more recently, building a context layer to scale AI successfully.
