Today’s kids are navigating social media, online gaming, messaging apps, and so many digital platforms. This workshop is designed to give parents practical information and tools to help keep their children safe.
👮♀️ The Great Barrington Police Department will lead the first portion of the evening, covering topics including:
• Online safety basics
• Cyberbullying
• Grooming and inappropriate online contact
• Warning signs parents should be aware of
• What children should do if someone asks to meet them or requests personal information
• When and how to report concerns
💻 Arthur Dellea, a parent volunteer who works in IT, will then provide hands-on guidance for parents around parental controls, privacy settings, and safety features on phones, gaming systems, social media, and other platforms.
🍽️ Dinner will be provided for all registered families and volunteers!
🧸 Childcare will also be available for registered families, allowing parents and caregivers to participate fully in the workshop.
We are incredibly grateful to be partnering with the Great Barrington Police Department and the Family Resource Center to bring this important conversation and practical support to our community. ❤️

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of learning, conversation, and practical tools to help keep our children safe in today’s digital world!
