Nail-biting, uplifting and inspiring, Three Brothers in a Boat is the true story of three ordinary people achieving something extraordinary. When brothers Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan rowed non-stop and unsupported across the entire Pacific in 2025 they made history and raised over a million pounds for charity. Just a few years earlier, they were complete novices. What followed would test their resolve, their relationships and their belief in one another.
Their record-breaking row was a 9,750-mile odyssey of endurance, purpose and brotherhood that pushed them to the limits of what the human body and spirit can withstand. As they set out in a 28-foot boat from the coast of Peru towards Australia, their mission was twofold: to attempt one of the most demanding ocean rows on Earth, and to raise awareness for clean water initiatives — a cause that became the emotional engine of their journey.
It was an expedition defined by extremes. Towering waves. Sleep deprivation. Equipment failures. Heat, hunger and the psychological strain of isolation. But also moments of profound connection — to the ocean, to their purpose, and to each other. Through storms, setbacks and the relentless rhythm of the oars, the brothers discovered what it truly means to trust, to endure and to keep going when every instinct tells you to stop.

About the speakers
The Maclean brothers – Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan – are three Scottish brothers raised on a sense of adventure. They first made global headlines in 2019 when they became the fastest trio to row across the Atlantic Ocean, covering 3,000 miles in 35 days and breaking the previous speed record by nearly a week. Determined to keep working together for causes they believed in, they founded The Maclean Foundation, with a mission to raise funds for clean water projects. In 2025 they set the Fastest Known Time for rowing the full Pacific Ocean, raising over £1 million for communities in Madagascar.

Charlie Walker is an award-winning explorer, author and international keynote speaker. He has travelled over 60,000 miles by foot, horse, raft, bicycle, ski and dugout canoe, in places as varied as the Tibetan plateau, the Mongolian steppe, the Congolese jungle, the Arctic tundra, the highlands of New Guinea and the Sahara desert. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Scientific Exploration Society Explorer Award winner, and the author of Through Sand & Snow and On Roads That Echo.
