Photography for Beginners - Camera Skills
This 2.5-hour introductory session is for you if you are a beginner and would like to improve your camera skills. We will cover topic such as: Focus, Aperture, Shutterspeed, Depth of Field and Movement Blur. We will learn about the exposure triangle and the visual effects you can produce with manual camera controls. You will gain confidence in using your camera and a better understanding of the key techniques required to create well exposed images and interesting visual effects. You can practice the skills we learn with both digital and analogue cameras.

Who can take part
This class is suitable for beginners. Anybody who would like to learn more about photography is welcome to attend. We will accomodate participants' different level of experience. Support will be available to everyone as required.
What equipment do you need
Please have your camera available during the session. This could be a digital or analogue SLR camera or a compact camera with manual controls. Some compact cameras have half automatic or manual camera settings such as aperture and shutterspeed. Some compacts offer a limited range of settings but are okay to start with.
