Spraywatch: A Beautiful Rescue - The Edinburgh Fringe Screening
They’re back from the beach in Edinburgh! A phenomenal, sold-out, five-star festival debut. And many friends and family couldn’t be bothered to get the train. So they recorded it.
This is your chance to see Spraywatch: A Beautiful Rescue on the big screen (Dave's projector), recorded live during the penultimate performance of its Edinburgh Fringe run.
Spraywatch: A Beautiful Rescue is an original musical comedy created by Manchester-based artists and produced by Low Fat Productions. Set in a struggling British seaside town, the show follows everyone’s favourite sexy American lifeguard as she attempts to whip the local lifeguards into shape, to save them (and herself) from some very low rankings.
With countless five star reviews, and one critic stating ‘there was too much profanity’, a fun night is guaranteed for all. Plus, its only 70 minutes long, so you don’t even need a toilet break.
The screening will take place at Manchester One Media & Franks Bar on Deansgate Terrace, just a few metres from the Beetham Tower on Deansgate. You know the place — just head up those rainbow steps.
Following the screening, writer and director Hywel Evans will host a cast Q&A, offering an insight into the creation of Spraywatch, its journey from an original idea to the Edinburgh Fringe, what it takes to produce an original musical, and what could be next for the show.
