About this Event
Join us for an intimate and unforgettable evening with legendary pianist, composer, and spiritual jazz pioneer Doug Carn. Hosted at the home of Phil DeCola in Columbia Heights, this special performance and fundraiser brings together music, community, and purpose in a unique, close-up setting.
Guests will experience a rare live performance from Doug Carn, whose music bridges the sacred and improvisational traditions of jazz. The evening offers an opportunity to hear one of the genre’s masters in an environment designed for connection, listening, and appreciation.
In addition to the performance, attendees can enjoy food, drinks, and time to gather with fellow supporters of the Home Rule Music and Film Preservation Foundation. This event directly supports the Foundation’s mission to preserve and celebrate DC’s rich musical and cultural legacy through programs like the Home Rule Music Festival, documentary film projects, and youth education initiatives.
Suggested donation is $100. If you are unable to attend, contributions of any amount are welcomed and appreciated.
Space is limited. Reserve your spot and be part of a special night dedicated to music, culture, and community.
