This summer, we worked to help pass the Safe Streets & Sidewalks levy. Now, we need to advocate to ensure that funding is used for safety, access, and mobility for all in Tacoma. Join us in telling Council to prioritize safe mobility and missing link connections in the biennial budget.On Tuesday October 27th, Tacoma City Council will have its first public hearing for the 2027-2028 biennial budget.
Share your stories of getting around Tacoma by walking, biking, and transit – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Speak to a specific location in Tacoma that needs to be made safer. Share your vision of what our city could look like. Your voice and your perspective matter and can influence what decisions the City makes.
The Council meeting begins at 5pm Tuesday October 27th at City Hall (747 Market Street). We will speak during the public hearing, after the proclamations and the budget presentation. The public hearing will likely start after 5:30pm.
Tacoma On the Go staff will arrive around 4:30pm outside City Hall to help you with your testimony and help folks to meet each other. We’ll head inside to sign in around 4:45pm.
