About this Event
Speak The Speech is a regular monologue workshop Warren has been running since September 2017, created as a response to London’s lack of affordable acting training.
A typical session consists of 5–6 performers presenting a monologue, which is then workshopped to improve the performers’ approach to content and character.
(Each workshop welcomes a larger group overall, with space for observers.)
Location: The Bridge at St John's, Waterloo — 73 Waterloo Rd, London SE1 8TY
Warren’s aim is not to produce the perfect monologue but to use the format to enhance each performer’s skill set and develop their acting process.
Stretch your skills in the warmest and most welcoming space to try things out:
- Refresh an audition monologue from your repertoire
- Try something new with a speech
- Read a monologue for the first time
- See how others approach a text
- Prepare for an upcoming casting
- Or simply sit back and watch — you’ll learn just as much from seeing others make discoveries!
Open to performers of all experience levels, from established veterans to those speaking text for the first time.
