About this Event
This three-hour workshop explores how the body can become a method for understanding home, housing and urban life. Drawing on the BodySpace project at TU Berlin, the session introduces relational approaches to space and sensory, participatory and body-based methods for capturing embodied experience.
Participants will take part in a short lecture followed by practical exercises exploring their own experiences of home-making in London. Through embodied mapping, collective reflection and storytelling, we will examine the everyday gestures through which people create familiarity, belonging, care and temporary forms of stability across the city.
The workshop is designed for participants interested in urban research, housing, sensory methods and embodied approaches to space. Attendees can expect a combination of conceptual input, hands-on experimentation and collective discussion, with a focus on how individual experiences can contribute to shared understandings of home and the city.
