About this Event
Join us for open house and school tour!
Discover what it is to have your student thrive in a welcoming community with rigourous curriculum and receiving full support to succeed.
South Bronx Classical Charter School V provides high quality education to scholars in grades K-2 in the Kingsbridge area of The Bronx. We will be adding a year until we are a full K-8.
What makes us different? We prepare scholars to excel in high school, college, and life. We do it through the collaboration of families, students, and teachers. Our goal is that every Classical scholar feels well equipped to enter the world!
About us:
We educate and support our scholars by instilling in them our Character Pillars: Citizenship, Caring, Fairness, Responsibility, Respect, and Trustworthiness. Scholars begin each day with morning meeting to prepare them for the day! Our amazing learning community features:
- small group sessions where students get personalized literacy instruction
- free afterschool program - scholars receive homework help and learn arts and crafts
- we build our curriculum and teachers receive professional development and coaching in the moment
- family events throughout the year, where families come to our school and we enjoy time together and build a stronger community
- overnight trips starting in 5th Grade. 8th grade scholars visit Italy at no cost to families.
What to expect at our open house:
- Meet our dedicated school leaders and teachers
- Learn about curriculum and what we're doing to develop your scholar
- Tour our classrooms
- Learn about our Character Pillars and how we prepare our scholars to be citizens of the world
- Ask questions about Classical, our curriculum, application process, school culture, and much more
- We will also be moving to our brand new permanent space August of 2028 on Kingsbridge Terrace.
Our open house will be in person at our School V location, 3880 Sedgwick Avenue, Bronx NY 10463.
