The Living Jar Workshop
Long before commercial yeast existed, bread was kept alive — fed, carried, and passed down through generations. That tradition is what we're bringing back.
The Living Jar is a hands-on workshop that takes you through the full journey, from the origins of wild fermentation to building your own starter from scratch.
But we go further than most.
A lot of people start sourdough with excitement, then quietly give up - not because they lost interest, but because the maintenance feels relentless. This workshop is designed to change that. We'll teach you how to preserve your starter so that when life gets busy, you can pause the process with confidence and wake it back up exactly when you're ready - no guilt, no waste, no starting over.
We cover the full preservation cycle: feeding schedules, refrigeration techniques, proper temperature management, and the step-by-step process of safely dehydrating your starter for long-term storage.
Beyond the practical, we explore the history, the science, and the living culture behind every loaf.
This workshop is for:
• Professional bakers looking to deepen
their sourdough knowledge
• Complete beginners ready to become
confident fermenters
• Anyone drawn to fermentation, gut
health, and ancestral food traditions
You don't need to be a baker to be here.
Sourdough is more than bread — it's a living culture rich in beneficial bacteria that supports gut health and overall wellness. It can be expressed in countless ways beyond baking.
This is holistic. This is grounding. This is the way it was always meant to be done.
