As many of you know, after 17 years of #PoetryInMotion, we brought back a different iteration of "poetry night" 2 years ago through an event called the Soulbrations Open Mic Series (Hosted by Devine Carama), featuring JK-47. We've tinkered with the format a bit (not too much) to highlight upcoming poets and vocalists while also being a safe space for "everyday folks" to come out and express themselves regularly.
We are excited to continue patronizing The Melroy downtown!! Join us Tuesday, October 13th for the final set of 2026! Doors open at 8 pm, and the show starts at 8:30 pm. Tell a friend and join us. It's going to be a SOULbration!!!

The kitchen and bar will be open!
Remember, this is a poetry night! There will be times in the evening to show up and have a good time, but please be respectful when the performer is on the mic. That moment of expression could be life-changing for them or someone else!
Doors open at 8 pm, and poetry starts at 8:30 pm! Seating is limited, so arrive early.
