Songwriter’s Alley returns for the only showcase of 2026, the 153rd session since being established in 2007! Songwriter’s Alley #153 is a triple bill of indie female songcraft from Nashville, Memphis, North Carolina, and Wyoming. Featuring Of a Feather (duo project of Compass Records folk artist Kelly Hunt of Memphis, with brazen country artist Sara Morgan of Nashville) along with return of country-folk-soul duo Screen Door Porch, and local songwriter Kennison Spiering. Co-presented by Silver Dollar, Inc. and Three Hearted Recording Studio, the original music series serves the song, embraces the performing songwriter, and offers an intimate listening experience for the audience. Akin to syndicated radio show eTown or the famed MTV Unplugged, Songwriter’s Alley cultivates an environment conducive to telling stories beyond the songs and engaging a listening audience. Songwriter’s Alley has featured over 100 established songwriters at both traditional and non-traditional venues in Teton County such as art galleries, theaters, coffee houses, saloons, and house concerts.

After more than a decade of flying solo, Kelly Hunt, the poetic folksinger from Memphis, TN, and Sara Morgan, the brazen country songwriter from McGehee, AR, have taken flight together. With harmonies that haunt, lyrics that hit, and a sound that soars, what began as a side project between buddies has morphed into one of the most dynamic duos to come out of Nashville in years. Screen Door Porch (Hoback)
For Screen Door Porch — the project of Seadar Rose and Aaron Davis — the creative groundswell of “grooving, electrified Porch music” was rooted in the South before taking shape in Austin and Wyoming. Casting an artful sound that nods to alt-folk, soulful country-blues and rock, Screen Door Porch delivers timeless female-male vocal harmonies akin to Gillian Welch/David Rawlings and the vibe of “Stevie Nicks meets Wilco, with Bonnie Raitt and John Prine hanging out by the campfire (605 Magazine)”. The dynamic duo “lends an easy Western flair to their more prominent native influences of North Carolina and Kentucky, a combination that goes down as smoothly as top-shelf bourbon” (Austin Chronicle) with “a Lennon/McCartney songwriting arrangement and get it right every time” (Americana UK).
Screen Door Porch was invited by The State of Wyoming to be ambassadors of Wyoming's music scene through a national ad campaign after twice receiving Album of the Year credits on Wyoming Public Radio. A full-page feature in The New York Times for touring “The Wyoming Way” followed, allowing them to reach an international audience and the Top 25 of Europe’s Americana Radio Chart while landing on several “Best Albums of the Year” lists from New York City to the United Kingdom.
Dozens of festivals have contributed to the band’s development into an adventurous stage unit, including memorable sets at South by Southwest, Treefort Music Fest, Grand Targhee Bluegrass Fest, Magic City Blues Fest, JH Center for the Arts, Paste Magazine’s Daytrotter, WHAT Fest, and Beartrap Festival while sharing theater and club bills with some of their favorite artists — Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Buddy Guy, Sam Bush, Steve Earle, Nicki Bluhm, Hayes Carll, Grace Potter, and Justin Townes Earle among them.

Kennison Spiering (Jackson/Saratoga)
Kennison grew up in Saratoga, Wyoming where she fell in love with rivers and music, often finding one in the other. Having spent the past few years on the move, she now weaves the tales of her travels, connections and the exceptional peculiarity of life into her songs.
