About this Event

Many people find it difficult to stay calm and connected when conflict and tension arise. In this group, we use the creative method of psychodrama to explore how your body and mind respond in challenging moments. We will look at the origins of these patterns, working with role reversal, group process, and somatic grounding to support a healthier, more compassionate ability to self-regulate over time.

You do not need any previous experience of psychodrama. The early sessions offer a gentle introduction to the method and its techniques, while giving the group space to get to know one another and identify personal aims for the work. The pace is steady and collaborative, with attention to safety, curiosity, and the shared experience of learning in community.

This is a slow open group that meets from 11am to 1pm on Friday mornings.

Facilitated by Alexa Edelist, Psychodynamic and Psychodrama Psychotherapist, UKCP accredited,

People consider therapy for all sorts of reasons but, whatever these are, entering the process can be really daunting. My first aim is to soften this, offering a compassionate and curious space for us to understand your needs from therapy together. I work with both time-focused and longer, open ended approaches with flexibility to adapt as we go along.
