THE PERFORMERS
Juliana El Hayek
Juliana El Hayek serves as the choir director at the Maronite Church in London, where her profound passion for both music and faith beautifully converge. With a deep reverence for the ancient Maronite liturgical traditions, she guides and inspires a diverse group of singers to create harmonious and prayerful music that resonates with the soul. Her work brings to life the rich tapestry of Maronite sacred melodies passed down through generations, echoing the divine in every note. Juliana also imparts the timeless art of ‘maqamat’ and the theory of Arabic music, unlocking the deep connection between melody and memory.

Why Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church?
'Bloomsbury' has a rich and varied history.
It has been in the heart of London since 1848 and known for its role in the civil rights movement and other human rights and justice issues.
This was where Dr Martin Luther King preached in London for the first time on 29th October 1961.
Thus, whilst we are looking at the Palestinian Christians' experience, this is an event that is open for all and relevant to everyone, in this very inclusive, historical, safe and welcoming space.
Please consider to also donate to the 'Bloomsbury' (as it is affectionately called)
