Soft Bar’s Zero-Proof Wine School with Avery Gaines
Join us for an intimate evening exploring the rapidly growing world of non-alcoholic wine through guided tasting, education, and thoughtfully paired salty snacks. For this fourth edition of Soft Bar Wine School, we will be deep diving into the world of aperitivo, amaro, and wine-based soft cocktails, tasting our through some of our industry favorites.
Whether you’re a hospitality professional looking to better serve today’s guests or simply curious about the zero-proof world, this class is intended to deepen your understanding of one of the most exciting shifts taking place within the beverage industry.
Together, we’ll taste a curated selection of premium non-alcoholic wines while exploring production methods, tasting techniques, food pairings, and what distinguishes today’s best bottles from the rest. We’ll also discuss how restaurants, bars, and hospitality venues are successfully integrating non-alcoholic wine into their beverage programs to meet evolving guest preferences.
We’ll be joined by founders and brand representatives from featured non-alcoholic wine producers, here to share the stories behind their wines, insights into production and innovation, and firsthand perspectives on where the category is headed.
Meet your host: The evening will be led by Avery Gaines, founder of UNFLTRD Wine. Avery launched UNFLTRD Wine in 2020 with a mission to make the world of wine more inclusive, approachable, and fun. With more than 12 years of experience across hospitality, luxury, and the arts, Avery is passionate about creating thoughtful, elevated experiences that blend expert wine education with genuine hospitality.
Avery holds a WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and is currently a WSET Level 3 candidate, bringing both technical expertise and an engaging, welcoming teaching style to every class. Their goal is simple: to make wine education approachable, practical, and enjoyable—whether you’re building a beverage program or simply discovering your next favorite pour.
