Always wanted to try ballroom dancing but didn't find the right time? Join ballroom dance class at the J in partnership with Tysons Ballroom Dance Center! Over the course of 4 weeks, you will learn the basics of two dances:
Waltz
Experience the timeless elegance of the Waltz in this progressive series designed especially for beginners and social dancers. Learn graceful movements, improve your posture and balance, and enjoy one of the world's most beautiful ballroom dances. Waltz is gentle on the joints while providing excellent physical and mental exercise.
East Coast Swing
Get energized with the lively rhythms of East Coast Swing! This upbeat, easy-to-learn dance is perfect for staying active, improving coordination, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. You'll learn practical dance skills you can enjoy at weddings, parties, cruises, and social events.
Both dances are designed to provide much more than dance instruction—they offer an opportunity to improve cardiovascular health, enhance memory and cognitive function, increase balance and mobility, reduce stress, and build meaningful friendships in a welcoming community.
No partner or previous dance experience is necessary. Just bring comfortable shoes, a positive attitude, and get ready to discover why ballroom dancing is one of the healthiest and most enjoyable activities for active adults.
