About this Event
Every second Tuesday of the month, we gather downstairs at a/stir for a relaxed, creative evening centered around sharing original work. It’s an open, welcoming space where anyone can step up and read—whether you’ve written an essay, a short story, a poem, or even want to try out a comedy set. There’s no pressure to perform, though; you’re just as welcome to come along, grab a drink, and enjoy listening to others.
The atmosphere is informal and supportive, making it a great place to test out new ideas, get inspired, or simply connect with other creative people. To help ease everyone in, our resident writer and former service lead, Jen, kicks things off with a short reading of her own. It’s the perfect way to warm up the room, set the tone, and remind everyone that this is a space for experimentation, creativity, and a little bit of fun.
Whether you’re a seasoned writer or someone who’s never shared their work out loud before, this is your invitation to be part of a community that values expression in all its forms.
