SKYWAY CABARET | History and Possibility
Advertisement
Suspended high above the stunning Jamison Valley, the Skyway Cabaret offers audiences a new way to experience poetry and stories, accompanied by an improvised soundtrack from multi-instrumentalist Victoria Falconer.
Writing into our past or imagining our possible futures takes precision, creativity and a determined authorial voice.
In Cherrywood, multi-award-winning author Jock Serong offers an imaginative, darkly playful story, transporting readers between 1916 Edinburgh and 1993 Melbourne via a hair-brained scheme to build a paddle steamer, and a strange and mysterious Fitzroy pub.
In Blue Giant, Jordan Prosser sees our protagonist recruited for a one-way mission to colonise Mars — a last-ditch bid for fame and glory in the hope of being humanity’s saviour.
Join these authors for a sharply observed and unpredictable discussion about writing, music, and imagining possible worlds.
