ONE OF THE NEST'S MOST POPULAR EVENTS, WITH A TWIST!
Join us at Stoneacre Garden in Newport, Rhode Island on Sunday, November 8th from 1:30-4pm for a special clothing swap event! Along with the clothing swap, there will be bottomless mimosas, live DJ sets and sustainable fashion vendors to shop from.
Refresh your wardrobe sustainably, sip on something bubbly, dance to good music, and connect with your community- all while giving pre-loved clothing a new life!
👗 THE CLOTHING SWAP | 1:30–3:30 PM
How does it work?
It's simple! Bring clothing and accessories from your closet that you no longer wear, and trade them for something new-to-you!
Upon arrival, you'll be directed to designated clothing piles to drop off your items. Our swap is organized by clothing type, including tops, bottoms, dresses/jumpsuits, and accessories (shoes, bags, belts, hats, jewelry, etc.).
Once you've dropped off your items, the fun begins! Spend the next two hours digging through the piles, discovering hidden gems, trying on pieces in our designated try-on area, and taking home whatever catches your eye.
A few things to know before you swap:
- Bring clean, wearable clothing! All items should be in decent condition and ready for someone else to love. If something is too dirty, damaged, or worn out for you to wear, please leave it at home.
- Bring as much or as little as you'd like! There's no minimum or maximum number of items you can contribute, and no limit to how many pieces you can take home. We don't count or monitor items brought or taken - it's all about sharing!
- All clothing is welcome! We do not separate clothing by gender. Our swaps are for everyone, and all sizes and styles are encouraged.
- Need a little assistance? If you need support navigating or digging through the clothing piles, please let our team know! We're happy to assist to make the experience more accessible.
- Don't have anything to swap? No problem! You're still welcome to purchase a ticket, browse the clothing piles, shop the vendors, and enjoy the event. Just remember, the more clothing our community brings, the more treasures there are for everyone to discover!

Bottomless Mimosas: What's better than swapping clothes with friends? Doing it over mimosas! Upgrade your ticket to include bottomless mimosas while you browse, mingle, and enjoy the afternoon.
Live DJ Sets: Enjoy music from live DJs bringing the good vibes throughout the event.
Sustainable Fashion Vendors: Discover and shop from sustainable fashion vendors offering even more opportunities to support conscious fashion and local businesses.
Whether you're here to completely refresh your wardrobe or simply sip, shop, and socialize, there's something for everyone!
