About this Event
Shel Maala and Makom are excited to announce Scattered Like Seeds, three days of learning, Torah, prayer, joy, food, and community in the North Carolina Triangle! From Friday, Novemeber 13, through Sunday, November 15, we will be immersed in exploring our relationship to "scattering" and diaspora, various decrees that have been established and annulled in our tradition around it, and the messianic hopes that our people's dispersion can engender.
We'll be meeting in three sections:
Friday Night
Nov 13 5pm
We'll daven, learn and eat together
Saturday Morning/Afternoon, and Evening
Nov 14 10:30-3; 6-8
We'll be praying, learning and feasting together from 10:30-3 on Shabbes, and then meeting back up for a Havdallah of joy, song and chilling around 6
Sunday
Nov 15 1:30-7
Full day, badass, seed-scattering Talmud study. Plentiful breaks and snacks included.

In terms of the Sunday studying, you can come with a study partner, or we’ll pair you up with someone at your level. Knowing your alefbet is a prerequisite, and we can help you learn it for this class if needed. If you haven’t studied in the SVARA method, you’ll be expected to watch an intro video.
