About this Event
Energy is at the center of some of the most important questions of our time. As we work toward a more sustainable future, how do we balance the need for reliable, affordable energy with the urgency of addressing climate change? What are the human, environmental, and social costs of the technologies intended to move us forward? And who benefits from the energy transition; and who bears its costs?
Join Pratt Unfiltered for a candid conversation about the complexities of building a better energy future. In the spirit of free inquiry and open dialogue, we’ll make space for different perspectives, challenge our assumptions, and reflect on what it means to pursue progress that is not only technologically possible, but also equitable and sustainable. Whether you study energy or are simply curious about the world around you, bring your perspective, take a seat, and help shape the conversation.
This event will take place in Mumma Commons (Level 3 East Vinik Wing inside the Fitzpatrick Center), Pratt School of Engineering.
Sponsored by Pratt Energy and Sustainability Club and Duke Engineering Culture & Belonging.
This event is part of Energy Week at Duke University (Nov. 9-13), organized by dozens of students from degree programs across Duke. Learn more about other Energy Week events that might interest you: energyweekatduke.org.
