Christine Miskonoodinkwe-Smith is a Saulteaux woman from Peguis First Nation and the author of “These Are the Stories: Memories of a 60s Scoop Survivor” published by Kegedonce Press in December 2021. She is an author, editor, writer, and journalist who graduated from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Aboriginal Studies in June 2011 and went on to receive her Master of Education in Social Justice in June 2017. She has written extensively for various Indigenous media outlets. Not one to sit still, she also collected and edited 17 60 Scoop Survivor stories that culminated in the anthology “Silence to Strength: Writings and Reflections on the Sixties Scoop” which was also published by Kegedonce Press in 2022 but also co-edited the anthology Bawaajigan: The Power of Dreams with fellow Indigenous writer Nathan Niigan Noodin Adler. She is currently finishing up writing her first YA Novel and ideas for her next project are percolating in the back of her mind.
Sacha Archer is a Canadian concrete poet. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario with his wife and two daughters. His most recent book is marcel marcel marcel published by Simulacrum Press. Some of Archer’s other publications include Second Sight, Havana Syndrome, cellsea, Empty Building, & Mother’s Milk, which was chosen by CBC as one of the best poetry books of 2020. He has been a judge for Grain Magazine’s Hybrid/Experimental Writing Contest and the Hamilton Literary Awards. Find him on Facebook and Instagram @sachaarcher.
