From selecting beautiful fabrics and combining colours to learning the essentials of machine sewing, this workshop gives you the opportunity to explore your creativity while developing a valuable new skill.
Whether you are completely new to sewing or already have some experience, you’ll be guided through each stage of the process in our welcoming Tailoring & Art Studio. There is no pressure to be perfect — simply enjoy the pleasure of creating something unique with your own hands.

We believe beautiful things can begin with materials that already have a story.
Where possible, we encourage you to bring pre-loved clothing, vintage textiles, treasured fabric remnants or leftover materials and transform them into something new and useful.
Give an old garment or forgotten piece of fabric a new purpose through creativity and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Learn
Throughout the workshop, you’ll be introduced to the foundations of sewing and bag making, including:
- How to thread and safely operate a domestic sewing machine
- How to sew neat and simple seams
- How to measure, cut and prepare fabric
- Essential sewing and construction techniques
- How to construct a reversible tote bag / lunch bag
- How to combine fabrics, colours, textures and patterns
- How to creatively repurpose pre-loved and leftover textiles
All materials are included, and expert guidance will be provided throughout the session.
What to Bring
To make your creation even more personal, we invite you to bring unwanted clothing, beautiful fabric remnants or other suitable textiles that you would love to give a new life.
A favourite shirt, vintage fabric, old curtains or leftover textiles could become part of your unique design.
If you don’t have anything suitable, there is no need to worry — a selection of fabrics will be available for you to use during the workshop.
No Previous Experience Required
You don’t need to know how to sew.
Our workshop is designed to be enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels, with friendly guidance provided throughout. Whether you are discovering sewing for the first time or returning to a craft you already love, you’ll have the opportunity to learn at your own pace.

Who Is It For?
This experience is suitable for:
- Adults of all skill levels
- Young people aged 12+
Young people aged 12 and over must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult must purchase a separate ticket.

Accessibility & Parking
Our Tailoring & Art Studio is located on the first floor and is accessed via four flights of stairs.
Unfortunately, the building does not currently have step-free or wheelchair access. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Free parking is available directly in front of the main entrance.

Arrival
To ensure a relaxed and seamless start to your creative experience, we kindly ask you to arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins.
This will give you time to settle in, get comfortable and prepare for your sewing experience before the class starts.
