Join us for a fun and colorful Lori Holt Zippy Bag Workshop where you’ll learn how to create an adorable quilted zipper pouch using Lori Holt’s signature vintage-inspired style. Perfect for storing sewing notions, cosmetics, or small projects, this class will guide you step-by-step through piecing, quilting, and installing a zipper with confidence. Whether you’re new to zipper bags or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll leave with a charming finished bag and techniques you can use again and again!
SUPPLIES:
Lori Holt Zippy Bag PANELwith equal amount of LINING FABRIC and batting OR one sided fusible foam
Lori Holt Zipper Package of Zippers or Zippers to match AND bring your zipper foot
Wonder tape
505 stick- if using batting which is what I used.
clips/pins
marking tool for quilting (marking pen or chalk)
Optional:
- wonder tape 1/4" double sided tape (LOVE THIS! makes it so easy)
- Tool to poke out corners
-edge foot 10D Bernina, walking foot or Even feed system on your machine
Also Pack:
¼” foot
Glue pen
Purple thang or a stiletto
Edge foot, if you have one
Wonder Clips and pins
Marking pen
Even feed on your machine or walking foot
Rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler
Size 12/80 microtex chrome sharp sewing needle
Sewing machine with 1/4" foot, and all needed petals and cords
Thread – color that will blend with your fabrics and for topstitching
Bobbins
Seam ripper, scissors, labeling tape
Class irons available, but personal irons and mat helpful
PRE-CLASS INSTRUCTIONS: Cut bag pieces apart leave all three pieces together and leave equal amount of extra fabric (cream) around them. cut apart the matching tags and pin or clip to corresponding bag piece.
Cut the foam or batting the same side as the bag piece (size of all 3 together)
CUTTING AT HOME gives you a greater chance of finishing your project. But if you would rather cut with me, you may finish at a sewing school class.

Each student and teacher must have a separate and original copy of the book, pattern or tool if required for a class as per the supply list. Quilt With Passion will respectfully decline any request to make photocopies unless permission is granted from the designer for a specific purpose.
Class Cancellation/Make-Up Information: If you must cancel a class, please do so at least 7 days before the start of the class. Refunds for these cancellations will be issued in the form of a Quilt With Passion store credit. Store credit may also be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of class if the space is filled by another student. If a class is missed, make up classes may be held at a Sewing School or by arrangements with the instructor to sit in on another class. Make ups must be held within three months of the original class.
